The Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Vince Greco, is a 20 piece big band comprised of the most gifted & talented young musicians (ages 14 – 19) from across San Diego county. The ESP Quintet has been performing together since 1992, playing music inspired by the creative adventurous approach of Miles Davis – Mitch Manker trumpet, Bob Campbell saxophone, Lynn Willard keyboards, Dave Curtis bass, & Gary Nieves drums. Ferociously talented trumpeter, Gilbert Castellanos performs with his Quartet featuring Brett Sanders drums, Mikan Zlatkovich paino, Danny Weller bass, plus special guests, homegrown jazz saxophonists Daniel Jackson & Gary LeFebvre.
